Assistant Planner
Andrew Mancinelli
Andrew is an Assistant Planner working on a variety of projects including site plan reviews, master plan updates, parks and recreation plans, grant writing, and community development. Andrew began working with McKenna in the Building Department as a code and zoning inspector. Working within the building department laid a foundation for his planning career, providing experience on how cities operate and their functions, while bridging the gap between building and planning functions. Although Andrew’s main role with McKenna is as an Assistant Planner, he continues to assist and serve multiple building departments across southeast Michigan.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Social Science from Michigan State University with a major in Urban and Regional planning and a minor in Cities. Andrew also has a certification in the study of blight and abandonment.
Back to people“
My goal as an urban planner is to be a voice and advocate for the people. Making cities a better place to live by updating infrastructure and introducing ideas that benefit the quality of life is paramount to my responsibility as an urban planner.
