Eric Ensey, AICP
Eric is a Principal Planner with many years of experience in municipal land use planning and public administration. His expertise spans various areas, including site plan and development review, zoning administration and zoning code writing, long-range planning, community engagement, and construction management.
Throughout his career, Eric has led multiple communities in comprehensively rewriting their zoning regulations into functional unified development ordinances. He has also managed the design and construction of municipal buildings, incorporating environmentally sustainable building techniques. Eric’s planning experience extends to reviewing numerous site development plans and guiding development proposals through local government review and approval processes. Additionally, he has conducted subarea and neighborhood planning projects, contributing significantly to community improvement.
Eric’s entry into the planning profession was driven by his desire to enhance the communities we live in. He thrives on embracing challenging situations and utilizes creative and collaborative approaches to resolve issues. His goal is always to achieve outcomes that benefit both his clients and the community’s quality of life.
Eric holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and History with a minor in Economics from South Dakota State University.
